The Virtual Naval Air Operations or VNAO organization is a group of virtual flight enthusiasts in the Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) community who have a passion for Naval Aviation and its proud history. Their mission is to virtually replicate all that Naval Aviation has to offer, from its military chain of command to the aircraft they fly.

VNAO currently has numerous current and historical squadrons, flying either the DCS Boeing F/A-18C Hornet, or Heatblur's Grumman F-14A & B Tomcats and the UH-1 Huey.   It is our desire to preserve its legacy and important place in Naval Aviation history through their group by virtually creating the squadrons who flew these remarkable aircraft.

The VNAO community is host to a wide range of enthusiast, ranging from casual simulator users, to active and retired service members.  Many VNAO members are real-life military, commercial, or private pilots, and continue to provide a wealth of real-life experience and training to its members and the flight operations that are simulated.

Although VNAO has a central focus with United States Military Operations, the organization has members from around the world to include North, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia, through the use of two regional Carrier Air Wings (CVWs) and ten squadrons.
